U.S. Senate Re-election Classes

The U.S. Constitution mandates that the Senate be divided into three classes (I, II, and III). Senators serve six-year terms, and approximately one-third of the Senate stands for re-election every two years, ensuring continuous membership.

Class III

Up for re-election in 2028 (32 Senators)

Up for re-election in 2030 (33 Senators)
