Biography
Alex Padilla was appointed to the Senate in 2021 to fill the seat vacated by Kamala Harris. He is the first Hispanic senator to represent California. He previously served as California's Secretary of State. In the Senate, Padilla has focused on immigration reform, voting rights, and environmental protection.
