Biography
Tammy Duckworth, Illinois' junior senator, was elected in 2016. She is an Iraq War veteran who lost both legs when her helicopter was shot down. She is the first Thai-American woman elected to Congress and the first senator to give birth while in office. She focuses on military, veterans', and disability rights issues.
